King of the land

Ah, remember my little thrown I always sat upon? It makes me feel so powerful. Everything I need is up there. Board games, radio, some pink stuffed animal thing. And I've even stashed a few snacks up there, though mom doesn't know.

Now, I have a reason to be up on my special spot today. Why, you ask? Because I have been getting some Twitter replies, and some emails telling me my awesomeness has gone down a few levels. Let me assure you, I am still the Smokey you all know and love. Mom is just much more busy then she was before. Now, if you'll excuse me. The new episode of Glee will be on soon. And this little dog will not be happy if even a second is missed.

Halloweenie is just around the corner.

So today mom decided it was time to do a Mini "Smokey Photoshoots." She always does them of me, they look unprofessional but that's what makes them look homemade. The proffesional photoshoots are only called Smokey's Photoshoots. Anways, I did take a Mini photoshoot today and it's of me in my Halloweenie costume. Why am I calling it Halloweenie, you may ask? Well, take a look at my costume..

A day outside

Hi anipals. Yes, mom is back from Vacation in Florida at Disneyworld and she says she had a great time. But she missed me sooo much. We went to the park today since she came home and played together. Grandma got me new toys while she was gone.

I like to roll around in the grass a lot and play in it. It's very fun and sometimes I lay out in the sun and have nice naps. Today was fun because mom came home, we went to the park, played outside and I got my laptop to play on again! Woohoo.

Back to an only dog

Yes, that is me using my annoyed face. Why? Because I did have a sister. Her name was Sassy. She was mean to me! But the rest of the family liked her. We didn't even have her for over 24 hours until she ran away to a different home, so now I don't have a big sister and I'm an only dog again. Yay! But mom says we are just going to let her stay in the home she ran away too, because Sassy started being mean to the whole family. So now this is my blog again, no website. Just this. Whoops, I gotta go anipals! Sorry. I'm in a hurry.

Silly Sunday - The bathroom

Today I'll be showing you the lovely room called 'The bathroom'.

Here I am getting ready to step into the sink. That's the circular thing you can take naps in and enjoy yourself with a few drops of water to drink.

Next is the torture area. That's called the tub. It's where our humans will make us sit in water and then scrub us until we sparkle like those Vampires off of Twilight or whatever. Most of us pets don't like it. Especially me.

And last but not least is the toilet. I climbed up on there all by myself today. I get a good view of everything, and it's pretty comfy. Mom wont let me get up there anymore though. She said I'm going to fall in. Anyways, the toilet is a cozy spot that you can lay and sit on if you aren't small. But if you're real big it might not be the spot for you either. Some dogs like to lick through it, I would love to try that one day but sadly I'm to little to reach and I'll fall in for sure then.

And that concludes our bathroom tour. Thank you, hope you had a good time. That'll be five bucks per person/animal please.

A quick update - Hello!

"Hello all. It's Clukoo here again, Smokey's newsreporter. As you all know Smokey hasn't been blogging as usual. Smokey went on a break but didn't know he was going to, so didn't get to warn you guys. But he is now fully back. We have an announcment. What we would like to tell you is that Smokey will not be updating his blog every day now. He will still be updating it a lot, just not every single day. His mom is very busy. Awake or asleep?

I like to sleep a lot, but when someone moves my eyes pop open and I'm alert. I don't like to be left alone in a room so you can't even trick me by trying to walk out quiet, I'll hear you! Did I just hear someone try to open a bag of chips? Ding! I'm awake and alert. Did someone just move to grab the remote? Ding! I'm awake and alert.


Looks like mom's sitting back in her chair. Ding! I'm asleep.

Fun Friday - A prize

Today I got two prizes from pawpawty. One was from Hands and my mommy loves it. It's all kinds of bath supplies and it even has something the humans call makeup for their eyes. The other one is from luckydogtreatco and is a very great gift for me! It's all kinds of yummy dog treats that I've been chewin' on all morning. They're both great gifts and I love them and so does mom.

See? Look how happy I am! But now I have to go, I'm to busy munching down on those treats.

Tricky Thursday - A trip to the vet

Hi everyone. As you all know I got very sick and had to take a small break from tweeting and blogging. It wasn't that long at all. I just had to go to the vet (Ah! I know. Horrible) I can't stand the vets. They scare me so much. But I still had to go because I wanted to feel better. Once we got there the vets took us right in because they could tell I was sick. And because we had an appointment telling them so anyways. When we got in the vets found out what was wrong with me about 10 minutes later. I had a 24 hour virus and it lasted the whole 24 hours. The sickness made things look much worse than things really were. I got medicine to help me stay better and I'm feeling more like myself already.

I want to give a HUGE thanks to all of you out there. Yes I did go through all of the @replies, comments, and dms. You are all great pals. Everyone was sending me get well wishes and everyone was so nice to me about the situation. Thanks, you guys are great!

And now, I'd like you to meet my new newsreporter that I hired. His name's Clukoo and he will be giving you some important information that I learned at my trip to the Vets.

"Hello everyone. My name is Clukoo. As you all know Smokey went to the vet and we have some news to tell you. A 24 hour virus is going around for animals. If your animal is throwing up, unnormal stool, and is just not acting as himself, contact your local vet ASAP. It's not a deadly disease or anything but we all know how those annoying 24 hour Viruses are and don't want our animals to suffer with it. Thank you all. This has been Clukoo's news, signing out."

Smokey is sick - Taking a break.

Hello all. Normally these blog posts are done by Smokey, AKA my pet. Smokey has been very sick since last night and now all day today. He wont get out of his bed, he wont eat ANYTHING, he wont play, wont chew on his chew toys, nothing. He threw up all the food he ate last night and now he wont eat anything else. His stool is kind of.. well, I feel as if I shouldn't go into detail with that. He even looks very sick and he's not acting like himself at all. We'll be taking him to the vet tomorrow morning. We were supposed to take him this morning but couldn't. Please cross your fingers that this sickness isn't a cause of death for an animal and please keep Smokey in your prayers. Thank you.

Tall Tuesday - My library

Something you might not know about me is that I have a fine library collection and that I do love to read at times. I have many books on dogs and other types of animals. My library is a place where I can hide away in all by myself and have some alone time. There's even a big window I can sit beside and look out of, it's fun!

Another thing I like about my library is that I can stand high and tall and keep a look on anything. It makes me feel very important.

A big mess

Hi everybody! Today I got a little carried away while playing with my pink pillow. So you know the pink pillow I have, that says Princess and stuff all over it? (No - I am NOT a girl! The pillow was just comfy.) Well I was having a little game with it, and it went into little poof balls all over the room! So now I can't sleep on it unless I want poof balls to fly everywhere.


Here's some evidence of the poof balls. And no, this isn't all of them. Mom has a big mess to clean up now.

Pawpawty review

Hey everybody! So as you all know the pawpawty was going on last night and today. Well it is so fun. I went surfing, swam some, met great anipals, danced in a conga line, even had some drinks, ate some food, and so much more! It's so fun. I even participated in the contests and I won two prizes! I can't wait until they come in the mail. I loved the pawpawty - it was my second time going to one. What do you guys think of the pawpawty?

Messy Kitchen

So today I went into the kitchen and there's a chair near the counter so I got on the chair and got onto the counter. I made a mess up there though.

Give me a break! There was a bowl of candy and I just had to have it. So I got the lid off somehow when mama wasn't looking and knocked it over to dig in it.

And what did I do while mom picked up my mess? I sat there with a hug smirk on my face.

Happy (late) fourth of July!

Hello everybody. I know I'm late for this! But I want to wish all of you a happy fourth of July since I didn't get to wish you one when I should have. We were just SO busy for it. Cleaning up, wearing my fourth of July outfit, hanging out with our family, shooting fireworks, ect. It was a long but fun day. What did you guys do for the fourth of July? Trying on outfits

So today my mom went out to Target and she bought me new outfits. I like to wear new ones! And I like it when my mama takes pictures of me. So today I got to have a little "photoshoot" showing off my new outfits I got.

No dogs allowed?

I am VERY upset right now. Why? Because, today my mama went to the bookstore. She goes all the time and I feel left out. So today I decided to play the classic guilt trip on her. Cry, beg, you know the drill. So she finally gave up and I got to go with her on her visit to the bookstore! I was so happy. Then that went straight down.

So we made it to the bookstore, and my mama opens the door holding me and then the lady goes.. here it comes.. "No dogs allowed!" I was very upset with her and I could have bit her face off. I may be little but I am NOT a whimp. So I had to wait outside all that time. Can you believe that? And there was even a "NO DOGS ALLOWED" hung up on the window. I am going to start a petition! Dogs should be allowed to go anywhere they want. This is not right. We are just like humans, we have feelings! Do any of you agree?

Things Smokey likes

A visit to the Vet

This morning I had to go to the vet for a checkup. I hate the vets office because they're always sticking stuff in me! So I had to get a few shots and I had to get checked for worms of course.

1.) I get checked for worms

This is my LEAST favorite part. They stick some plastic thing in my booty and it hurts! Then they check it and see if I have any worms. Last time I had worms but luckily they're out now because it wasn't like it was a major problem. I had no worms this time, meaning mama is taking good care of me so far.

2.) I get my shots

I had to get two shots, a booster shot and then another shot to prevent me getting the worms I had last time. So the shots weren't horrible, the first one I didn't even move. But the second one stung, and I cried a little but then it was all done.

So the nurse told mama that I was a very healthy dog and she was taking good care of me, so yay! Have you had your shots?

Miracle Monday

So today I decided that I needed to dig around the junk. Little did I know, it would almost cost me my life.

So as I was saying, I went under a desk and dug around a few things. Being me, I found a little square box and chewed on it. Then little bitty blue specks of stuff flew out of the box, so I ate a lot of it. I walked away, leaving the box open. My mama soon found out the box I was chewing in was filled with rat poison. It was from a few years ago and was long forgotten. I started not being able to walk straight, and felt a little strange. What was going on? Mama was panicing and called the vet. I couldn't hear what they were saying. Panic Struck and fastly my mama put me in my doggy carier with a puppy pad because I was wobbly and throwing up everywhere. We got in the car and drove to the vet. When we arrived, I was taken in ASAP. I had to get a long tube go down my throat to help me throw it all up. Then I had to get several shots to help my blood clot more easily. I then had to keep throwing up from the tube, and it all really hurt so bad. My mama got to stay in the room to help me feel more comfortable, but it didn't help my yelping. She carresed my paw soothingly as it was done. Then, we were finished. We got some pills I have to take for 3 weeks. The poison will come out from me throwing up and my stool, and the pills help it were I don't feel any pain. We got in the car and drove back home, and I steadily threw up. I'm ok now, though I'll be throwing up and a little sore for this week and feel just a tad bit of pain. But I'd rather feel that then be dead. A miracle happened today, somehow my mama found out just in time. Thanks, god.
